Kora Awards 2024 : 15 Cameroonians Shortlisted

The 13th edition of the Kora Awards will take place on December 1, 2024 in Johannesburg, South Africa with 15 Cameroonian artists in the Top 10 of each category.
The Kora Awards ceremony honors artists and influential personalities who have made significant impact in Africa. According to the results of paid votes that began on June 1st, Cameroonians and other African artists have secured their places in the Top 10 across the 21 participating categories.
Rising star Libianca is the only Cameroonian artist nominated in two categories, Best Hit of the Year and Best Musical Revelation of the Year, for her song "People", released in 2023. In the Best Hit category of the year, Libianca is in competition with other great names of the musical industry like the South African Tyla, and Nigerians Davido and Asake with their hits "Water", "Unavailable" and " Lonely at The Top" respectively. Charlotte Dipanda, nominated for Best Female Artist in African Urban Music, alongside other African stars like Yemi Alade, Ayra Starr and Josey. Four Cameroonian influencers : Coco Emilia, Paola Audrey Ndengue, Music Feelings, and Philippe Simo, have made it to the Top 10 for Best Influencer from the African continent. In the Best Male Artist in Rap category, Cameroonian artists Tenor and Kocee have been recognized for their rap among music fans in Cameroon and across Africa.
