Russia : Over A Hundred Delegates Talk Security

During the three-day meeting in Moscow, representatives from more than a hundred countries strategized on how to curb security threats.
The 13th International Meeting of Senior Officials Responsible for Security Affairs commenced on Tuesday, May 27, at the National Center in Moscow, with participants from over 125 delegations representing more than 100 countries. Russian media reported that the three-day meeting is chaired by Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. According to the Russian Security Council’s media office, the Security Council of Russia during the meeting, emphasized that emerging security threats such as terrorism, cybercrime, and cross-border challenges require global cooperation and joint efforts. On the sidelines of the official sessions, informal talks will take place involving representatives from ASEAN, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.
For the first time, a scientific seminar focusing on global security issues will be held during the annual event. The summit reflects growing regional and global concerns over security threats requiring multilateral dialogue and cooperation. The involvement of diverse regional blocs underscores the importance of coordinated responses to challenges like terrorism and cybercrime.
