Sports : Cameroon, Israel Strengthen Ties

The Israeli Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Amnon Kalmar, paid a courtesy visit to Ministry of Sports and Physical Education on Wednesday July 16, 2025.
Cameroon and Israel are determined to reinforce relationship in the domain of sports. It is in this light that the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouele Kombi granted audience to the Israeli Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Amnon Kalmar, on Wednesday July 16, 2025. Speaking after the meeting, the Diplomat said he went to the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education because he likes sports and also because Cameroon has good relations with Israel. He said he and the Minister agreed to promote the sports relations between Israel and Cameroon. He said he is happy that the Minister agreed to find different kinds of sports activities and to try to have it together with Israel.
H.E. Amnon Kalmar said plans are underway to create a table tennis club in Cameroon and that the Israeli Embassy will give as a donation three table tennis and other equipment to the young generations. The donation will significantly increase the available facilities for the practice of table tennis, increase opportunities for the development of new talents and contribute to youth integration and empowerment. “I assure you that not long from now there will be a champion from the club.
