Centre Region: 263 Youths Receive Support

As part of the 2025 Special Youth Plan (PTS-Youth) in the Centre Region, 263 young individuals have

been equipped with state-of-theart kits in diverse fields, including agriculture, industry, and digital economy. These cutting-edge tools are designed to support the development of their projects. The distribution of these kits took place during a ceremony marking the 44th International Day of Peace, themed “Act Now for a Peaceful World.”

During the ceremony, chaired by the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, in the presence of several government members and the diplomatic corps, it was disclosed that the Centre Region has to date benefited from funding for 4,624 young project holders, with a total investment of FCFA 8,006,923,522. The number of direct jobs expected to be created is estimated at 3,790. The investment in the Centre Region for the 2025 cohort comprises one pioneer village and 36 clusters, bringing together 395 young people, with a total cost of FCFA 678,988,648. This support is anticipated to enhance their integration into the productive society and contribute significantly to the economic growth of the country. During a solemn oath-taking ceremony, the youth pledged to utilize these resources effectively and embody the entrepreneurial spirit and values championed by the Head of State. “We assure the Minister that we will live up to his expectations and make a meaningful contribution to our nation's development,” the youth emphasized.
