Women’s Autonomy: Care-Cameroon Launches Second Phase

The non-governmental organization and the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family renewed their accord in Yaounde on September 23 to enhance women’s autonomy.
Representatives from both parties gathered to seal their collaboration during a ceremony that took place at the conference hall of the annex building of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and the Family (MINPROFF). Speaking at the occasion, MINPROFF’s Minister, Marie Thérèse Abena Ondoua, emphasized that the initiatives undertaken through this partnership align with the objectives outlined in the National Development Strategy 2030 (SND- 30). “The partnership seeks to promote women’s participation in decision-making, provide sexual and reproductive healthcare, work towards financial and social autonomy, draft a law against genderbased violence, and offer better quality education...
