The over 68,000 capacity arena in Rabat will host the opening match, the final and several key fixtures of the AFCON.
Located just seven kilometers from the center of Rabat, Morocco’s capital, the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium stands as one of the premier venues for the 2025 AFCON tournament. With a seating capacity of 68,095; expandable to 68,700 for the 2030 World Cup, it is the second-largest stadium in Morocco, after the Grand Stade de Tanger. This state-of-the-art stadium will proudly host the opening match, the final, and several key fixtures of the prestigious competition.
Owned by the Rabat Urban Community and managed by SONARGES, Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium is part of a sprawling sports complex that also includes an Olympic stadium, a 10,000-seat indoor arena, and an Olympic swimming pool. Completely renovated multiple times: in 2000, in 2014 for the FIFA Club World Cup, and again in 2023 with a full reconstruction; the stadium now meets the highest international standards.
