Much attention needs to be paid to the fight against corruption as way of making the just-started seven-year term of office to translate to reality its slogan, “Greatness and Hope.”
President Paul Biya on November 6, 2025 in his swearing-in speech marking the start of the current seven-year term of office, declared, “It goes without saying that efforts to combat corruption will be stepped up.” Though without going into details, the Head of State in the declaration once more recognized the dangers the practice of corruption in all its forms constitute in sapping all political, economic, infrastructural and socio-cultural efforts government has been making to ensure development and improvement of the living conditions of the population.

Cameroonians have great expectations for President Paul Biya’s campaign manifesto to be translated into concrete, measurable and impactful projects, activities and programmes on the field. They are also looking forward for the promises in his inaugural speech made in the National...
