South West : Obang Sons, Daughters Showcase Cultural Talents

Since Thursday, the population of Okoroba, in Manyu Division and its environs have been witnessing an unprecedented cultural exhibition.

All eyes and ears of cultural lovers are now turned towards Okoroba Village where sons and daughters of Obang are from 18 to 21, December, 2025, showcasing their cultural talents. The crowd pulling cultural jamboree is a platform to celebrate and revive the Obang Culture. Under the auspices of the Coordinator of the Obang Solidarity Initiative, HRH Chief Dr. Oruh Julius Agbor, the maiden edition of the Obang Cultural festival, is expected to award prizes to meritorious sons and daughters who have been at the forefront of education, agriculture and cultural development in the area. Bedsides witnessing, participate and reviving the Obang Cultural heritage, the come together is also expected to enable Obang sons and daughters brainstorm on how to better the ongoing scholarship scheme that has so far seen the sponsoring of many pupils, students and young farmers in the area.
