Lions’ Corner : Lions Hit Full Strength

The Indomitable Lions held their second training session at Stade Abdelaziz Rifki d'Anza yesterday, with Christian Kofane, who arrived in the wee hours of the same day to complete the squad.

The weather dipped under 15°C yesterday evening at Stade Abdelaziz Rifki d'Anza, on the outskirts of Agadir. This was the venue for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon's second training session since arriving in Agadir in the early hours of December 20. The full 28-player squad; completed by Christian Kofane's late arrival; braved the cold: hands numb, teeth chattering, and sea breezes making it worse. The Lions faced the conditions with bravery.
This session marked the first opened to the press for 15 minutes since the team landed in Casablanca, where they spent six days before reaching Agadir on December 20. The delegation headed straight to their base at Hyatt Regency Taghazout, some 30 km from Agadir-Al Massira International Airport.
The atmosphere was serene yet charged with ambition and determination yesterday as the players know their Group F opener against Gabon looms. A match whose result will definitely start shaping their destiny in the competition. During the press-open segment, journalists perceived raw willpower; the players' faces during warm-ups radiated focus. Before kick-off, they held their routine prayer session and likely received guidelines on the training plan.
This session under Head Coach David Pagou followed the first at the same venue...
