Development In Meme Division: Chiefs Express Gratitude

Received by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday, they solicited for their gratefulness to be transmitted to the President of the Republic.
Various development projects carried out by the government within the framework of developing Meme Division of the South West Region have been appreciated by the traditional rulers of the locality, who were received by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday January 28, 2026. The delegation comprising the Executive Bureau of the Meme Chiefs Conference, led by its President, HRM Mboke Godlive, Chief of Kotto-Barombi also came to present themselves to the Prime Minister, following their election in November last year. In the words of the delegation leader; “We also used this opportunity to thank him for all that has been done in the Meme Division and asking him to extend our gratitude to the Head of State, President Paul Biya. You know the security crisis has been there for too long but the actions especially the amnesty that he (referring to the Head of State) granted to the separatist fighters has been one big solution that the children who are there know that they can count on and return home without any problems.” For the development projects, one can think of various components of the Presidential Plan for the Reconstruction and Development of the North West and South West Regions and other programmes contained in the National Development Strategy. The custodian of culture further explained that due to these actions, things are gradually returning to normalcy as relative peace is being observed.
