ELECAM: Board Evaluates Activities

Following a press release sent to news room, the President of the Electoral Board, Dr. Fonkam Samuel Azu’u, assisted by the Vice-President, Barrister Ebanga Ewodo Justin, on Thursday, 06 April, 2017, as from 10:00 am at Mont Febe Hotel, chaired deliberations of the second ordinary session of the Electoral Board for 2017.
The Director General of Elections, Mr. Abdoulaye Babale, assisted by the Deputy Director General of Elections, Mr. Essousse Erik, took the minutes of the items that featured on the agenda of the meeting.
In his opening statement, the President of the Electoral Board welcomed the participants and proceeded to give an overview of the activities carried out by Elections Cameroon this pre-election year.
The Director General of Elections was then given the floor to, on the one hand, report on the implementation of the resolutions of the Electoral Board, and on the other hand, give updates on the 2016 administrative accounts of Election Cameroon. In this respect, Members of the Electoral Board requested the Director General of Elections to present a full report on the administrative accounts, and the management accounts of the Special Appropriation of the Electoral Board during the next session. The said management accounts shall be presented by the Accounting Officer, in accordance with regulations governing the management of public funds.
