Buea Military Garrison: Two Commanders Take Office

Lt. Colonel Ze Bekale is heading the 21st Command and Support Battalion and Major Aboubakar Aladji is commanding the 21st Motorised Infantry Battalion.
The chain of command is fresh in the Buea military garrison as new commanders appointed on March 31, 2026, begin their mandates. They were installed on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Bongo Square Buea by the Commander of the 21 Motorised Infantry Brigade, Colonel Enyée Meka. The installed officials are Lieutenant Colonel Ze Bekale Georges Stephane who is now the 7th commander of the 21st Command and Support Battalion. He replaced Major Ayangma Dieudonne who held the post since 2022. Major Aboubakar Aladji Baba on the other hand replaced Major Koumenda Beyala Armand as the commander of the 21st Motorised Infantry Battalion. Colonel Enye Meka reminded the two officials that their appointments come at the time when Cameroon is facing multifaceted threats, notably the crisis in the North West and South West Regions. Consequently, they have to be field officers seeking predictive and operational intelligence, in order to nip any threats in the bud within their areas of responsibilities. They were equally charged to maintain discipline among their personnel by sanctioning acts of indiscipline without leniency and by rewarding them when appropriate. He placed special emphasis on the training and maintenance of personnel and equipment. Colonel Meka instructed personnel serving in the 21st Command and Support Battalion, and 21st Motorised Infantry Battalion to give their new leaders their complete loyalty, respect, and unwavering commitment.
