“The sessions, which began on Tuesday, have essentially focused on presentations and the sharing of experiences regarding civil registration and digital identity. From these presentations, I retain the emphasis on promoting civil registration and digital identity. I am particularly interested in the integration between the two. We know that this integration is essentially the structural, technical, and legal link between civil registration and identity. Civil registration, through the issuance of birth certificates, constitutes proof of existence and proof of truth. Identity, on the other hand, is the pathway to accessing services. I strongly feel that it is important for our country to truly promote this link and relationship that should exist between civil registration and identity. We already have software for civil registration, and another for identity. What we must seek is interoperability, ensuring that these two systems can communicate with each other.
