GCE Examinations: Hitch-free Practical In South West

The 2025/2026 session of the Cameroon General Certificate of Education (GCE) practical examinations kicked off smoothly Tuesday, May 5, 2026, across the South West Region, signaling the start of a crucial phase for secondary school candidates. Supervisors, candidates, school officials of the region, have expressed satisfaction with the organisation and timely start of the exercises, marking a positive beginning to this year’s end of course examinations. On the morning of Friday, May 22, 2026, students gathered at their various examination centres as early as 7 a.m to take part in hands-on assessments for subjects including Computer Science Paper III for Ordinary Level and Physics Paper III for Advanced Level. Educational authorities in the various centres within Buea confirmed that the process began smoothly, with adequate materials and supervisors in place. At Government High School Buea Town, Bilingual Grammar School Molyko, Baptist High School Buea, the practical examination has been on-going hitchfree. Apart from general education, candidates are also taking practical in Technical and vocational education examination. For intermediate level, industrial computing paper III was taken in the morning of Friday May 22 while at the Advanced Level, some of the practical trades were on Design of electrical installation paper III, mechanics and automation paper III, traction, transmission and hydraulic systems paper III.
