University Alumni: Pushes for Stronger Networking

Diaspora and Cameroon-based members meet to review progress, reinforce statutes, and support member businesses.

Dang Remember, the alumni association of the University of Ngaoundere convened its General Assembly in Douala on May 9 bringing together members from across Cameroon and the diaspora to assess the association’s direction and chart its next steps. Opening the session, the President of the Executive Bureau, Dr. Anita Rebecca Ngom said the General Assembly set the line of conduct and determine whether past decisions remain relevant as circumstances change. “Life is dynamic, so we are constantly obliged to make ammends. That is the very purpose of our presence here today and especially to reconnect”, she said. The president noted the gathering serves a deeper purpose beyond business, reinforcing the bonds of brotherhood among alumni. She stressed that honest feedback is welcome at the assembly. The assembly resolved to ensure members better understand and apply the governing texts, arguing that clear rules are essential for the association to move forward and remain effective.
