Parliamentary Outreach: MP Donates To Riders, Fish Mongers

The largesse by Hon. Etombi Gladys on May 18, 2026 is aimed at empowering bike and fish women associations in Limbe.
Commercial motor-taxi riders and fish women association in Limbe, Fako Division of the South West Region, were full of excitement and gratitude to the Member of Parliament for Fako East Constituency, Hon. Etombi Ikome Gladys, as she bequeathed a consignment of motor-bike umbrellas and helmets to two syndicates of bike riders in the sea side city last May 18. The dual donation also saw the CPDM MP, who also doubles as the ruling party’s Assistant Chief Whip in the National Assembly, offering buckets and fish bags to some 200 women fish mongers grouped under the canopy of Limbe Fish Women Association. Speaking during the ceremony that was also attended by the SDO for Fako, Viang Mekalla and the City Mayor of Limbe, Dr Paul Efome Ngalle and other administrative, traditional authorities, the Member of Parliament noted that this was her umpteenth donations to her population without any discrimination; highlighting that it is in the spirit of living together and social cohesion in Limbe. Hon Etombi Ikome Gladys recalled that it is not the first time she is reaching out to her constituent in respect to her promise to serve her people. While stressing the importance of the gifts to the various beneficiaries in improving their wellbeing, she emphasized the need for unity and being one another’s keeper.
