ELECAM South West: New Delegate To Strengthen Electoral Credibility

Dr. Erik Essousse made the call during the official installation ceremony of abdoullahi Boboe on Friday, May 29, 2026, in Buea.

The Director General of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM), Dr. Erik Essousse, has called on the newly installed South West Regional Delegate of ELECAM, Abdoullahi Boboe, to uphold professionalism and ensure the transparent organisation of upcoming elections in the region. Abdoullahi Boboe was urged to leverage his 16 years of experience within Elections Cameroon to strengthen electoral operations in the region and to effectively manage both human and material resources as preparations begin for the forthcoming twin elections. According to Director General of ELECAM, the institution expects improvements in voter registration, electoral card distribution, and the overall implementation of electoral activities in strict conformity with the law. “Our expectations are to improve our activities in the SW region in terms of registration and distribution of electoral cards, ensure the smooth conduct of operations, and adequately prepare for the upcoming elections,” he stated.
