External Relations: Diplomatic Missions Showcase Actions

The Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, visited some pavilions at the ongoing international fair.

Not just the administration and business institutions are participating at the 10th edition of the International Exhibition for Business, SMEs, and Partnerships (PROMOTE). There are also diplomatic missions (those accredited to Yaounde) taking part in the international business fair. Their participation, it should be noted, and as explained by international relations experts, serves as a platform in linking foreign investors with local small and medium-sized enterprises. Commercial diplomacy is enhanced through the facilitation of trade, advocacy for favourable business environments and getting into investment partnership for mutual gains. It is thus against this framework that the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu, visited some pavilions of diplomatic missions at the Yaounde Conference Centre, site of the international business fair. Starting with the pavilion of the British High Commission in Yaounde, the Minister was presented the activities of all British businesses and institutions like IELTS operating in the country. Both personalities had public exchanges at the stand, basically edifying visitors on partnership schemes within UK-Cameroon bilateral cooperation.
