Elone: Kupe Muanenguba’s Legendary Music Icon

Since 2014, Elone Fidelis Enongene has remained consistent producing 10 albums and over 35 single tracts that keep fans spellbound.
His unique melodious voice like angels in heaven will strike everyone listening to his music even though he sings more in his “Akose” mother tongue of his native Kupe Muanenguba Division of the South West Region. The music artist known popularly by his artistic name Elone needs no introduction in the Bakossi communities in both the South West and Littoral Regions as his musical tracts can be recited even by children. Elone has become a household name in his native Bakossi tribe as no weekend passes by without him performing in one locality or the other in Kupe Muanenguba and parts of Moungo Division in the Littoral Region or better still, in other parts of the country where Bakossi people are celebrating. The Bakossi folklore musician perfectly blends Akose, English and French languages to pass across his messages of love, peace, forgiveness, unity, amongst others, in his songs. Before becoming a fulltime music professional in 2014 with the release of his first album, Elone, who is a composer, song writer, singer and arranger, was a cabaret singer for five years and later joined the then Brasseries du Cameroun Caravan Singer for two years. “I was born in a home naturally blessed with music talent.
