The crisis in the North West and South West Regions has had different effects on people, but the impact has been general. The Fon of Nso, His Royal Highness Fon Sehm Mbinglo I has recounted his own ordeal in a book that he published and publicly presented on June 25, 2026 in Yaounde. Titled “The Fon of Nso’ and the Anglophone Crisis: A Testimony for Reconciliation and Peace,” it is a narration of the struggles faced by the traditional ruler which ends on a note of forgiveness to those who tried to harm him during trying moments. The publication serves as a reminder that no matter how deep the crisis, people must never lose sight of the humanity. It is divided into seven sections with several subchapters, including testimonies and a final message centred on peace and reconciliation. The book was edited by a team of renowned Nso intellectuals like Prof. Verkijika G. Fanso and Dr. Fai Eugene Ndzegham. Presenting an overview of the book, Eugine Ngalim, a Co-Editor said, “The book is intended to serve as a tool for reconciliation and peace within the Kingdom of Nso, Bui Division, and Cameroon as a whole. It is also designed to support the Fon’s community dialogue, which will bring together all Nso sons and daughters living both in the country and in the diaspora.” To him, people must never forget that war, no matter its cause, leaves behind ashes and not answers.
