West: Nso Fon Preaches Harmony

Bafoussam (Mifi) - Barely days after the launch of his book on peace, reconciliation and forgiveness amidst the ongoing crisis in the North West and South West Regions, the Fon of Nso, HRM Sehm Mbinglo I, has met with his peers of other fondoms in the Bui Division, North West Region to chat a path for development. Meeting in conclave in Bafoussam last July 3-4, 2026, the traditional rulers resolved to bury the hatchet and give peace and development a chance. The custodians of culture, some of whom have been out of their palaces as a result of the prolonged Anglophone crisis, expressed the willingness to see normalcy return to the regions and save them the continuous trauma caused by the unfortunate situation. The Bafoussam meeting is viewed as a prologue for reigniting the Bui Fons’ Union, an organ that brought the Royal Fathers together to handle matters of customs and tradition as bedrock for development.
