2026 National Interpools: Draw Conducted

The draw for the 2026 National Interpools was conducted yes­ terday, July 14, 2026, at the new FECAFOOT headquarters in Warda, Yaounde. This time, 12 clubs will take part in the compe­ tition. In addition to the 10 teams representing the 10 regions of the country, two others from MTN Elite Two have been added: Bafmeng United and Union Douala, that finished fifth and sixth in the MTN Elite Two play-offs down. According to the regulations of the 2025-2026 MTN Elite Two professional championship, the teams placed fifth and sixth at the end of the play-offs down will be thrown into the Interpools as a way of avoiding direct relegation and giving them another chance to fight for maintenance in the Elite Two.
