Kumba-Ekondo Titi Road: Tarring Begins This Week

The 60 km stretch of road will cost over FCFA 32,2 Billion

 

The dream of the population of Kumba (Meme), Ekondo-Titi and Mundemba (Ndian) to have a good road network will finally become reality beginning. Travellers sometimes spent three nights on the road from Kumba to Mundemba during the rainy season, let alone transport their farm produce to the market.
The SOROUBAT-CM, contracted to construct the road, has completed their base at Small-Ekombe, a village along the Kumba-Mbonge road. Their heavy duty equipment has been installed at the base with the promise to begin work last Monday 17 April.
The Senior Divisional Officer (SDO) for Meme Division, Ntou’ou Ndong Chamberlin, visited the site on April 11, 2017, and was assured by the head of the construction company, Anis Ben Aasson, that their equipment had arrived. He added that they were ready to start effective work on the road. Aasson went further to explain that the delay came from the Douala sea port where they spent time to get their equipment.
