North West: Works On National Road No 11 In Progress

Ndu (Donga-Mantung) - As a major breakthrough for regional connectivity and trade within the North West Region, the construc­ tion of National Road No. 11 (N11)—specifically across the critical Kumbo – Ndu – Nkambe – Misaje axis had hit a significant milestone. As of June 27, 2026, the overall physical progress of the enginee­ ring works on the 39-kilometer Kumbo-Ndu lot was officially esti­ mated at 57.50%. The primary contractor, Bun’s, has significantly mobilized its workforce and heavy machinery to press forward with the vital pavement works and comprehensive drainage system ad­ justments. Having launched this phase several days ago, engineers are currently working at an accelerated pace to lay down the bitu­ minous-bound graded aggregate base course, with the strategic goal of fully wrapping up this vulnerable layer before the onset of the main heavy rainy season, which historically halts regional in­ frastructure developments.
