RSI, which broadcast on 92.3 FM, seeks to promote local talents
Independently-owned radio station, RSI (Radio Sport Info), based in Douala, has set up “RSI Sports Trophy” through which best sports talents will be awarded. “RSI Sports Trophy” seeks to award prizes to best talent in each of seventeen categories. Each of the seventeen categories consists of five pre-selected names, from which the public, jury and journalists charged with the pre-selection will vote. Brain behind the award Martin Camus Mimb, RSI Promoter, said during a news conference in Bonapriso Tuesday, April 18, that the purpose of the award is to valorise and promote local talents with the support of partners. A jury made up of ace journalists and sports reporters has been set up for the award. The jury has a voting share of 50 per cent, the public 20 per cent and journalists 30 per cent.
