Pastoral Visit: Anglican Church Appreciates Collaboration

Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday August 3, 2026 received in audience the Archbishop of Canterbury, Her Grace Sarah Mullally.
G overnment collaboration with the Anglican Church has been appreciated by the Archbishop of Canter- bury, Rt Honourable Sarah Mullally, who is also Primate of the Church of England, as well as the ceremonial head of the worldwide Anglican Com- munion. She was received yesterday August 3, 2026 by the Prime Minister Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute. She concludes her five-day visit in Cameroon today August 4, 2026. In her statement to the press after the audience, Her Grace Sarah Mul- lally said they basically talked about the Anglican Church in Cameroon which she said from her observation has deep faith, generous and com- passionate to their respective com- munities. “We talked about ways in which they support community, not just to talk about the gospel but also to demonstrate the light and also about peace, not just the An- glican church, but working with other churches in order to seek peace. I told the Prime Minister that the An- glican church continues to contribute to this wonderful Cameroon and also to peace. And also to assure him and the government of my prayers,” she stated.
