Peace Building Initiative: Vulnerable Children Showcase Acquired Skills

The three months training by the Child Care Development Initiative came to an end on August 22, 2026 in Bamenda.
T he future of development in the North West Region and the nation in general has hopes of guarantee following a public dis play of talents and skills acquired by some young vulnerable kids across the North West Region. During the end of the fourth edition of the Regional Youth Peace Summit in Ba menda on August 22, 2026, youths aged six to twenty showcased prac tical skills on digital technology, me chanical engineering, solar installa tions, medical sciences, basic com puters, agriculture and many more. The programme targeted close too 1,500 vulnerable youths in the va rious divisions of the region. Thrilled by the presentations, North West Governor Adolphe Lele Lafrique saluted the peace initiative while extending a congratulatory message to the team through its Chief Exe cutive Officer Dr Wuku Alfred Kudi. " We are gathered here to celebrate over 1,500 vulnerable children and youths across the region who have chosen the path of peace " Governor Lele Lafrique remarked. On behalf of the Head of State and the go vernment of Cameroon, he expressed satisfaction towards CCDI for their commitment to equip to the youths with practical market driving skills. He acknowledged that the young minds have been given economic dignity which is a reason to face the future with confidence.
