Tubuo Peter Ayagha is currently regarded as one of Anglophone Cameroon’s most influential content creators.
Since September 2026, Tubuo Peter Ayagha, popularly known as Petermic or Mr. Mimick, has been widely regarded as one of Anglophone Cameroon’s most influential content creators. He boasts a combined social-media following said to have surpassed 6 million. And a new influencer partnership with YellowBet Cameroon, adding another major commercial chapter to his growing empire.
Impressive Ascension
The son of legendary folklore artist Afoakom (now known as Prince Yerima) has since made noticeable strides in life - footballer in China, celebrity impersonator, musician and entrepreneur. Petermic has transformed an unconventional journey into one of Cameroon’s most recognizable digital brands.
There are few Cameroonian entertainers whose digital influence can be measured not only in millions of followers, but also in the growing number of brands seeking access to their audience.
Tubuo Peter Ayagha is one of them.
Rising Rating
Since September 2026, Petermic has increasingly been positioned by entertainment observers. And his growing commercial profile as Cameroon’s most-followed Anglophone content creators, given his reported combined social-media audience of more than 6 million followers across TikTok, Facebook and Instagram.
His TikTok presence alone has grown to more than 3 million followers, placing him among the platform’s most prominent Cameroonian creators. But numbers are only part of the story. Petermic has built something considerably more valuable: an audience that follows a personality, not simply a platform.
From Njinikom To The Digital Stage
Born on January 2, 1994, in Njinikom in Cameroon’s North West Region, Petermic grew up surrounded by creativity. He is the son of renowned Cameroonian folklore artist, Afoakom, now known as Prince Yerima. Afoakom’s artistic influence helped expose Petermic to performance and entertainment from an early age.
Yet Petermic’s first ambition was not comedy or social media. It was football. After studying Building Construction, he pursued football professionally in Cameroon before taking the opportunity to continue his football journey in China in 2015. Then came the turning point. An injury in 2018 disrupted his football career ambitions and forced him to rethink his future. What initially looked like a setback would eventually become the beginning of a much bigger career.
The Birth Of Mr. Mimick
Petermic began experimenting with dance and online video content, eventually discovering the skill that would define his digital identity: mimicry. He didn’t simply imitate celebrities. He studied their voices, facial expressions, mannerisms, personalities and recognizable habits - transforming them into highly entertaining short-form performances. In 2021, the strategy exploded.
His impersonations of Nigerian entertainment giants including Don Jazzy, Tiwa Savage and Davido, began attracting enormous attention. With some of the personalities themselves helping to amplify his work. The young Cameroonian creator suddenly found himself being recognized far beyond his country’s borders.
Nigeria: Where The Brand Grew
Petermic subsequently spent roughly two years in Nigeria, immersing himself in one of Africa’s most powerful entertainment ecosystems. During that period, he developed relationships and collaborations with major Nigerian entertainers and digital personalities. Including Sabinus, Mr Macaroni, Real Warri Pikin, Mike Ezuruonye, Brain Jotter, Zic Aloma and Sirbalo.
The experience was important. Petermic was no longer simply a Cameroonian creator making viral videos. He was becoming an African entertainment personality.
Returning Home - And Claiming His Space
When Petermic returned to Cameroon in 2023, he faced another challenge: establishing himself clearly within the Cameroonian entertainment landscape. Despite his Nigerian collaborations and enormous international visibility, he wanted audiences to know exactly where he came from.
He then embarked on a media tour that included appearances on major Cameroonian platforms such as CRTV, Canal 2 and Vision 4. The message was simple: The man behind Mr. Mimick was Cameroonian. And by then, his audience was already enormous.
September 2026: A Digital Powerhouse
By September 2026, Petermic’s social-media influence had evolved into something much bigger than viral comedy. With a reported 6-million-plus combined following across major social platforms, he represents one of the largest English-speaking digital audiences attached to a Cameroonian entertainment personality.
His TikTok community alone is estimated at more than 3 million followers, reinforcing his position among the country’s biggest digital creators. This scale gives Petermic something brands increasingly compete for: attention at scale. And that attention is now translating into commercial partnerships.
From Content Creator To Commercial Influencer
One of the clearest signs of Petermic’s growing commercial value is his new relationship with YellowBet Cameroon. In September 2026, Petermic entered a formal influencer partnership framework with YellowBet. The proposed collaboration is structured around branded short-form content, social-media promotion and audience engagement.
Rising Commercial Value
The partnership is significant because it represents a shift in the way Petermic is being valued. He is no longer simply being approached as a creator capable of producing viral content. He is increasingly being treated as a media property with a powerful, measurable audience. The proposed YellowBet campaign includes TikTok/Reels content, supporting social posts, reposting, campaign reporting and broader promotional usage. Thus reflecting the commercial scale attached to his personal brand.
For Petermic, the partnership opens ano...
