CHRACERH: First Lady’s Gifts To Nursing Mothers

They were handed diverse gifts sent by Madam Chantal Biya, yesterday September 9, 2026.

T he First Lady, Madam Chantal Biya, yesterday September 9, sent some gifts to women who recently put to birth at the Yaounde Hospital Centre for Applied Research, Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproduction, known in the French acronym as CHRACERH. They are four women with five babies, that is one of the women had a set of twins. The diverse gifts offered by matron of the health facility were handed to the beneficiaries by the Executive Director, Professor Jean- Marie Kasia. All the four women put to birth on August 19, 2026. For the mothers, the First Lady sent a complete kit­ chen set beautifully packaged. For the babies, they each received se­ veral gifts from the mother of the nation. Brand new boxes, feeding bottles, machines to pump breast milk, set of towels, baby carriers (both big and small sizes, with the large ones having the possibility of being transformed into a bed), ther­ mometer and bath items. One of the mothers, Veronica Awah who gave birth to a baby girl ex­ pressed her appreciation to the First Lady. “I am short of words because the joy in my heart is immense. It is thanks to the First Lady, who through this hospital, I have this my beautiful bundle of joy who is in good health. May God bless you for your good heart Mama Chantal Biya,” she said.
