National Fund Raising Prospects: Cameroon Courts International Investors

The Country’s Delegation took part in the Non-Deal Road Show organised with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, in London Last September 9 and 10, 2026.
E fforts to reduce Cameroon’s borrowing and attract fo reign investors have inten sified on global stages. In a recent two-day Non-Deal Market Sounding Road Show organized by the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC), last Sep tember 9 and 10, 2026 in London, the Minister of Finance, Louis Paul Motaze told investors at the London confab that Cameroon remains a re silient economy, with solid funda mentals, significant growth poten tials, and a concrete commitment for expansion and debt sustainabi lity. Leading the Cameroonian delegation including, the Minister Delegate in charge of Cooperation with the Com monwealth, Felix Mbayu; Minister Delegate in charge of Planning, Paul Tasong, as well as several Director Generals of Public enterprises; Louis Paul Motaze underscored that the nation’s prowess in agriculture and the combination of other sectors continue to provide important sources for growth and development. He added in his address to the forum that, looking ahead, “we remain confident that Cameroon can sustain a robust growth trajectory supported by major public and private invest ments, infrastructural development, and the expansion of trade on both the local and international scenes, that can be leveraged by investors to develop structured and bankable projects.” Coming when Cameroon is on the hills of the implementation of the National Development Strategy (SND30) billed at over FCFA 87.8 trillion with nearly 45 per cent ex pected to come from development partners and private capital, the de legates presented investors with evidence of the resilience and gro wing diversification of the Came roonian economy. Despite a 6.6 per cent contraction in hydrocarbon ex traction in 2025, economic growth remained at 3.5 per cent for the third consecutive year.
