Miss Cameroon 2026: Beauty Gets Major Boost

T he nineteenth edition of the Miss Cameroon contest conclu­ ded on September 19, 2026 with Maellys Ngo Mboui, 20 years, crowned beauty queen. Her crown was affixed by the First Lady, Chantal Biya, who chaired the ceremony in the presence of several personalities. This edition took place under the theme, “Fight Against Cyber Crimi­ nality,” with 23 candidates from the ten regions of Cameroon and the diaspora, contending for the beauty crown. The candidates were evaluated by a jury of ten people, who are Ca­ meroonians and foreigners. Confi­ dence, elegance, vision on the fight against cyber criminality and bilin­ gualism were some of the aspects of assessment, besides physical beauty. Maellys Ngo Mboui, who was parti­ cipating in the capacity as Miss Dias­ pora France was candidate number one and coincidentally maintaining her first position at the end. She was also handed the car keys to vehicle which comes with being crowned Cameroon’s beauty queen. The first runner up is Cerena Kemdib, first dauphin from the West Region. In a descending manner, Larissa Belibi, Miss Center Region secured the se­ cond runner up position with her beauty sash worn by the Minister of Arts and Culture, Bidoung Mkpatt. The second dauphin for the West Region, Ange Darelle Wete, was worn the beauty sash of third runner-up of miss Cameroon by the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of the Supreme State Audit Office, Mbah Acha Rose while Miss Littoral, Emmanuelle Etoo, fifth runner-up was honoured by the Inspector Ge­ neral at the Ministry of External Re­ lations, Sylvie Elung.
