South West: Buea Islamic Complex Gets Borehole

Buea (Fako) - The Chief Executive Officer of Royal Cable Network Buea, Alhadji Bouba Sali, has inaugurated a borehole to provide potable water to residents within and around the Buea Islamic Complex. The borehole, construc­ ted as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), was inau­ gurated in Buea on September 4, 2026. Speaking at the ceremony, Alhadji Bouba Sali said the project was dedicated to the community and reflected Royal TV’s commitment in serving the popu­ lation beyond its role as a media orga­ nisation. ‘‘At Royal TV, we believe the media is not only about reporting current events. We are also aware that water is life and a basic necessity. The bore­ hole is a symbol of partnership, solidarity and commitment to the people we serve’’, he said. The Imam of the Buea Central Mosque, Alhadji Mohammed Aboubakar while chairing the event, commended the CEO and his collaborators for the ini­ tiative. He said the project would benefit both Muslims and non-Muslims living in neighbouring areas, including resi­ dents across Bonaberi.
