Cameroon-Israel: Outgoing Ambassador Appreciates Cooperation

T he outgoing Israel Ambassa­ dor to Cameroon, Amnon Kalmar, was at the Senate on September 30, 2026. He was granted a farewell audience by the Senior Vice President of the law- making institution, Begala Mikel Naomie épouse Akono, on behalf of the Senate President. Parliamentary diplomacy was discussed with ways of deepening cooperation examined. The Ambassador appreciated the cordial bilateral relations between Cameroon and the State of Israel. This is more so because there exists a Cameroon-Israel Parliamentary Friendship Association, whose mis­ sion is to enhance cooperation by sharing best practices in parliamen­ tary affairs. In his statement to the press, the di­ plomat said he enjoyed his two years six months stay in Cameroon with the people being hospitable and au­ thorities collaborative. “I am here to thank the Senate for the good, strong and warm relation between the State of Israel and the State of Cameroon. We have very good rela­ tions and this dates back to 40 years. The relation as I said is very strong and warm. And I am here to thank the Senate and the people of Cameroon for this warm relation, Amnon Kalmar said. He returns to his home country.
