Regional Communication Days: First Edition Opens In Bafoussam Today

“The Minister of Communication wishes to inform the public that, in the aftermath of the Government Action Fair (SAGO), his Ministry is launching, with effect from 2026, an event dubbed, the “Re­ gional Communication Day’s”, abbreviated as R.C.D. These events, which will be held annually in one of the regional chief towns of the country’s ten (10) regions, or, where applicable, simultaneously in several of them, aim to bring the initiative as close as possible to the citizens of each region. This will be a unique platform to show­ case, raise awareness and facilitate dia­ logue between the main centres produ­ cing development initiatives and the beneficiary populations, regarding the key actions and achievements of the Government, public institutions in ge­ neral, and other economic players, whe­ ther public or private. The maiden edition of the R.C.D. will be held in the city of Bafoussam, for the West Region, from 29 to 31 October 2026, under the theme: “Inclusive Public Action: A Strategic Lever for the Effective Contribution of the Regions to Came­ roon’s Emergence by 2035”.
