Provisional Electoral Lists: Electors Cross-Checking

S ince October 20, and even before, Council Branches of Elections Cameroon had pos­ ted the provisional electoral register of the Division. This is in accordance with Section 78(2) of the Electoral Code. Once the provi­ sional electoral registers are publi­ shed, any political party or elector may refer any irregularities or omis­ sions noted to the Revision Com­ mission, where necessary, the Divi­ sional Supervisory Commission. Meantime, the lists have been posted up at different Council Branches to give room for persons who find irre­ gularities on their information to si­ gnal for corrections to be made so that the final list is void of errors. According to the Electoral Code, mo­ difications can be made on the elec­ toral registers following any change of residence or clerical errors noticed especially regarding the full name, parentage, date and place of birth of an elector.
