Senate : Côte d’Ivoire Wants to Learn From Cameroon

The country's Minister of State for Political Dialogue and Relations with Institutions is on a working visit to Cameroon.
The new Constitution of Côte d’Ivoire voted in 2016 makes provisions for the putting in place of the Senate and the country wants to learn from Cameroon’s experience in order to enable their Senate effectively become a reality.
It is for this reason that Ahoussou Kouadio Jeannot, Minister of State for Political Dialogue and Relations with Institutions of Côte d’Ivoire is on a working visit to Cameroon since the early hours of May 7, 2017. On arrival at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport shortly after midnight, he told the press that President Alassane Ouattara has sent him to Cameroon to discuss with Cameroonian authorities and learn from Cameroon’s experience in relation to the Senate. He used the occasion to state that Cameroon and Côte d’Ivoire were two friendly countries that resemble each other in all spheres and expressed gratitude to President Paul Biya for dispatching cabinet ministers and other government officials to welcome him.
