Presidential Guard: Time For Final Touches

Foot soldiers of the Presidential Guard on May 15, 2017 perfected their march past performance.

The Presidential Guard is almost set for a thrilling parade in front of the Head of State, Presidential Paul Biya, his guests and senior State dignitories come the 45th edition of Cameroon’s National Day celebration at the Yaounde 20th May Venue on  Saturday, May 20.
The determination of the Presidential Guard was once more manifested at the Yaounde 4 Military Airbase on Monday, May 15, 2017 when they put up a thrilling show as they rehearsed for the event. Animated by the band of the Presidential Guard, the foot soldiers marched past in two squares of 144 elements each. They marched past with closed fists symbolising rigour, commitment and cohesion in their mision of protecting  the Head of State and also being at the service of the population when the need arises through different civilo-military actions.
Sources from the Communication Department of the Presidential Guard indicated that their troops will be commanded by Major Bifounou Ndongo Ambroise. Reports say the two squares of foot soldiers will be closely followed by that of the Anti-terrorism unit in which soldiers march past with military security dogs.
