Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral Gets New Rector

The commissioning mass was attended by Littoral’s Secretary General, Ludovic Etienne Ngbwa.

Rev. Father Clément Nola Aboudi is the new Rector of the Saints Peter & Paul Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Douala. He was commissioned by the Vicar General, His Lordship Dieudonné Bayemeg in Akwa on Sunday, August 28, 2016.

The installation mass said by the Vicar General, with the assistance of several clergymen, was also attended by the Secretary General in the Littoral Governor’s office, Ludovic Etienne Ngbwa and a host of other political, administrative and traditional authorities. The first, second and third readings from Ecclesiastes 3:19-21,30-31, Hebrews 12:18-19, 22-24 and Luke 14:1,7-14, respectively, exhorted the new Rector and the church to seek humility.

“As Christians, if we want to be important or first, then let us be first in terms of loving service to those who need us…humility was a distinctive mark of the life and ministry of Jesus Christ our Lord…On the contrary, pride results in defeat and shame,” His Lordship Dieudonné Bayemeg pointed out.
