Batschenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena Road: Contracts Awarded For Remaining Lots

The Minister of Public Works signed two contracts on Tuesday June 20, 2017, with Groupe Elevolution to construct the 178.8 km long stretches

 

Construction of two remaining lots out of four of the Batschenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena road is set to kick off. The Minister of Public Works, Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, signed two contracts of execution of Lots 2 and 3 with the Director General of Groupe Elevolution, Tuesday June 20, 2017. Lot 2; Ntui-Mankim, of the road linking the Centre Region to the Adamawa Region is 96.7 km long and will gulp over FCFA 57.4 billion, while Lot 3; Mankim-Yoko, which is 82.1 km long will cost over FCFA 46.1 billion. The Portuguese company has been charged with the proper execution of the project.
Going by Corine Esse, Head of the Communications Unit of the Ministry of Public Works, two other lots of the road construction project had earlier been awarded. Lot 1; Batschenga-Ntui, 21 km, costing FCFA 22.7 billion was awarded to Razel which has been on the field since three months ago. The fourth lot; Yoko-Lena, 44.9 km, costing FCFA 19.6 billion is being handled by Synohidro.
