Local Elections In CAR : Cameroon’s Support Solicited

Prime Minister Joseph Dion Ngute yesterday June 11, 2024 received the Minister of Finance of the Central Africa Republic, Hervé Ndoba and a support of FCFA 250 million announced.


Elections are said to be the most democratic process in choosing a leader. Several countries in the world take the process seriously, with the Central Africa Republic not left out. Faced with some security problems in recent times, the country has not been able to organise local elections. With the gradual return to normalcy, there are prospects on the way for the organisation of local elections in the country. As such, finances are needed in the process and authorities of the neigbouring country are on a search for such resources. It is against this backdrop that the Minister of Finance of the Central Africa Republic, Hervé Ndoba was at the Star Building yesterday June 11, 2024 and received by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute.
According to the statement of the Minister after the audience, they talked about the mobilisation of finances in the organisation of local elections in the country.  “We were here to talk about the mobilisation of finances for the process of the organisation of local elections in our country which is a very important decision for us because it has been more than 36 years that this election has not taken place in our country.
