South West: Fallen Police Inspector Posthumously Decorated

Senior police officer Inspector Menye Emmanuel Minkoulou who was killed by "unidentified terrorists" in Mbonge Subdivision of Meme Division in the Southwest Region has been posthumously elevated to a higher rank and decorated with medal of valour,  by the Head of State,  Commander –in-Chief of the Defence Forces,  Paul Biya,  as a symbol of the sympathy of the entire Nation. The revelation on the fallen soldier is contained in Presidential decree No. 2008/063 of 29th January 2018.

This was during a ceremony at the Kumba Municipal Grand stand on Friday February 2, 2018. The military honours ceremony presided at by the Senior Police Superintendent, Mvogo, representative of the Delegate General of National Security, Martin Mbarga Ngeule assisted by some top police officials in the region.  Also present were Meme SDO, Chamberlin Ntou'ou Ndong, and Member of Parliamentary for Meme West constituency alongside many others who matter in the division.

The senior police inspector, Menye Minkoulou was slain in Kombone on January 5, 2018 while on duty at a police/Gendamerie road block. The casket was wrapped with the National flag and was placed at the Kumba City Grand Stand where Senior Police Superintendent Mvogo,  top police officials, colleagues, relatives, and well-wishers had assembled to pay their last respects to the fallen senior police inspector.
