Bamenda- Ekok Trans-African Road: Milestones In Boosting Communication And Trade

Commercial and trade links between Cameroon and neighbouring Nigeria made easier since the realisation of the Bamenda-Ekok Trans African highway.

Conceived to run from metropolitan Bamenda through Bali, Batibo, Widikum and Mamfe to Ekok, the corridor is most welcome infrastructure to lift the image of the nation.

The project scores the double goal of connecting the North West and South West Regions and establish or improve commercial or trade links between Cameroon and neighbouring Nigeria.

In effect, the dream of linking the North West, South West Regions and Nigeria with a first rate highway facility is today a reality. The entire corridor which covers some 196km is sub divided into three components.
