Fotabong Albert Njoteh: Experienced Diplomate

President Paul Biya on September 18, 2018 appointed him Cameroon’s High Commissioner to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

On November 7, 2017, President Paul Biya signed decree N° 2017/544 appointing officials in the external services of the Ministry of External Relations. In the decree, Nkoum-me- Ntseny Louis-Marie Magloire replaced Fotabong Albert Njoteh as Minister-Counsellor at Cameroon’s High Commission in South Africa.

Little did he know that in less than a year, the President of the Republic Paul Biya was to promote him to the post of Cameroon’s High Commissioner to Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The President’s decision therefore came in decree N° 2018/487 of 18 September 2018. Mr Fotabong Albert from every indication is not new to diplomatic affairs.

He served as Minister-Counsellor at the Cameroon High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa from 2006 to 2017. Within the time, he was also the acting Chargé d’Affaires at the same High Commission from 2006 to 2008. Fotabong Albert left the Presidency of the Republic before taking up diplomatic functions in South Africa.
