SDF: boycott Not An Option

The socio-political crisis rocking the North West Region is not helping matters for the SDF candidate, Hon. Joshua Osih in campaigning ahead of the October 7 presidential election. A strategic meeting of the Regional Executive of the SDF on September 27, 2018 argued that the prevailing situation is not conducive for smooth campaigns, free, fair and transparent election.

They appeared at a loss with what they claimed are extra judicial killings, kidnappings, looting, curfews, internal and external displacement of people in the region. The session, chaired by the SDF Regional Chairman, Hon. Evaristus Njong at the Ntarinkon residence of National Chairman John Fru Ndi, frowned at actions that are in defiance of the electoral code.

The SDF argues that the pre-election field is not level as CPDM candidate, Paul Biya's campaign posters are put up in the streets and public places during curfew hours.
