SDF: Evaluation of Presidential Election Soon

The Social Democratic Front (SDF) will hold its first post-electoral National Executive Committee meeting in Yaounde on November 3, 2018.

The National Chairman of the Social Democratic Front (SDF), John Fru Ndi will on November 3, 2018 preside at the first post October 7, 2018 presidential election National Executive (NEC) meeting of the party in Yaounde. The information is contained in a press release signed by the Secretary General of the SDF, Senator Jean Tsomelou on October 23, 2018.

He said the agenda of the meeting is, “the evaluation of the party’s participation at the last presidential election of 7 October 2018, and the rearmament of party members for the forthcoming elections.” The NEC meeting to start at 9:00 a.m. is enlarged to Mayors, parliamentarians, Shadow Cabinet and National Advisory Council members.

The Yaounde NEC meeting will come after the SDF candidate in the October 7, 2018 presidential election, Joshua Nambangi Osih re corded the worse performance in the party’s participation history in presidential elections. In the election results the Constitutional Council proclaimed on October 22, 2018, Joshua Osih occupied the fourth position with 118,706 of the votes cast representing 3.35 per cent. SDF National Chairman, John Fru Ndi successively came second after incumbent President Paul Biya of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) in 1992 and 2011 presidential elections.
