Social Democratic Front: Party Strategises On Rebirth Mechanisms

This is in a bid to gain more political steam and secure victory in future elections in the country

Following what has been described by many as a poor outcome of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) during the October 7, 2018 presidential election, the party in a press conference on November 21, 2018 announced its intensions of reawakening politically. The press conference was chaired by the Secretary General, Jean Tsomelou in the presence of other SDF Senators, Parliamentarians and other political bureau members.

Dubbed the “Original SDF”, the party anticipates the modernisation of its profile, address the youth in a convincing manner and find material as well as human resources capable of guaranteeing victory at the next elections. Senator Jean Tsomelou in his opening remark noted that the “Original SDF” has three main goals; solving the Anglophone crisis, push for federalism as form of the State and federate the electorate to ensure political alternation. He further stated that the National Chariman of the SDF, John Fru Ndi and the National Executive Committee will never fail to meet the historical commitments of its founding fathers, which consists amongst other things in making Cameroon a prosperous nation rooted in the values of freedom, social justice and democracy.
