Postal Activities : 14 Operators Get Licences

The documents were officially handed by the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications during a ceremony organised on December 28, 2020 in Yaounde.

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng has officially handed licences to some 14 newly authorised private postal operators in the country. This was during a ceremony organised on December 28, 2020 in Yaounde. The operators include; Tresor Voyages, Princesse Voyages, Solex Sarl, General Express, Finex Cameroun, CDV sarl/Noblesse voyages, Overline Transport & Logistics, Buca voyages Sarl, Garanti Express, Prestaire de Services Express, Binam S.A, Globex Cameroun Sarl, Avenir Voyages Sarl and Flexi Logistics.
These operators engage in the transfer of mails and parcels come to add to some 11 others who were handed licences in 2019 making it a total of 25 private operators in Cameroon. These achievements are thanks to an operation launched by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications to effectively regulate and monitor postal activities in the country. 
The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng, speaking during the ceremony congratulated the operators who have complied with the regulations in force. While opining that the sector is a pillar to economic growth and development, especially with the booming of e-commerce, the Minister urged the newly authorised operators to incorporate Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) in carrying out their activities.
