Tunisia will play alongside Mali, Mauritania and Gambia in the group the of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations.

The 24 teams for the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations now know their adversaries. This was after the draw ceremony that took place at the Yaounde Conference Centre yesterday August 17, 2021. The teams are divided into six groups. Group F is lodged in Limbe and is made up of Tunisia, Mali, Mauritania and Gambia. The group will see a mixture of experienced teams and virtually inexperienced ones. Tunisia participated in the Africa Cup of Nations for the first time in 1962. The hosted the competition in 1965 and made it to the final. Tunisia’s biggest success in the competition was in 2004 when they hosted the competition and won the trophy. Mali has a long historical tradition of participating in the Africa Cup of Nations. Even though Mali’s participation in the AFCON prior to 21st century was sporadic they managed a number of notable achievements.
