Tour of Burkina Faso : Six Cyclists To Represent Cameroon

The Indomitable Lions of cycling are in Burkina Faso to get used to the environment before the kick off of the competition on Friday October 29, 2021.

The 33rd edition of the International Cycling Tour of Burkina Faso will take place from October 29 to November 7, 2021. Cameroon will be represented in the competition by six cyclists selected from the SNH Velo Club and the national cycling team. The cyclists to defend the colours of Cameroon in Burkina Faso are Clovis Kamzong Abossolo, Tella Artuce, Michel Tiencheu and Yaou Gadji from the SNH Velo Club. The others are Jordan Kamdem and Sadiko Kossoko from the national cycling team. The Cameroonian delegation made up of six cyclists and three trainers left the country yesterday at 9:20 a.m. via the Yaounde Nsimalen Airport on board an Air Côte d’Ivoire flight. The delegation is led by the Assistant Secretary General of the Cameroon Cycling Federation, Ibrahim Njifendjou. The athletes will train in Burkina Faso before the kick off of the competition on Friday October 29, 2021. The cyclists will compete with cyclists from Europe, Africa and Burkina Faso. 
Prior to their departure, the cyclists trained intensively in Yaounde in order to keep their form. The cyclists also competed in the just-ended 21st edition of the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race. The competition served as preparation for the cyclists. Out of the six cyclists, Clovis Kamzong Abossolo and Yaou Gadji trained in France for one month before the Chantal Biya International Cycling Race. Apart from that the...
