TotalEnergies 2021 AFCON : CAF Endorses Framework Agreement

This was during the body’s Executive Committee meeting which held on Monday October 25, 2021 via video conference.

The Confederation of African Football’s Executive Committee has ratified the signing of the Agreement for the Organising Association Agreement (OAA) of the TotalEnergies 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) with the host nation, Cameroon. This was during the body’s Executive Committee meeting which held via video conference on Monday October 25, 2021. The meeting was chaired by CAF President, Dr Patrice Motsepe. It should be recalled that Cameroon and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Friday, October 22, 2021 signed the framework agreement for the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations TotalEnergies 2021. Seidou Mbombo Njoya, interim president of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) inked on behalf of his body and Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, Minister of Sports and President of the Local Organizing Committee of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, signed on behalf of Cameroon. On the other side, CAF’s first Vice President, Augustin Senghor initialed the document on behalf of his institution. The framework agreement comes to secure Cameroon’s hosting rights and further clarifies all doubts.
